Cotinus cog. 'Royal Purple' or Purple smokebush is a fantastic shrub that gets it's name from it's flower which is so fine that it creates a haze from a distance. It flowers in ladte spring early summer. In the autumn the leaves turn to shades of purple and deep red.
• Eventual height and spread: 2.5m x 2.5m (can be pruned to keep much smaller if required)
• Flowering time: April - June (flowers create a smokey haze)
• Likes to be in a sheltered position
• Will tollerate full sun or partial shade.
