Strongly growing selection with an oval, later broad pyramidal crown, growing to a height of about 15 m. The young leaves are purplish red to red. The summer shoots also bear these coloured leaves, which contrast well with the dark green mature leaf. Unlike other A. rubrum cultivars, the autumn colour is mainly yellow. Highly suitable as an avenue, street and park tree. Also fine for use along driveways and such like. Its growth will stagnate on calcareous soil. In such soil, as with very dry soil, the autumn change of colour will be less noticeable.
